Thames Competitors.
[BY TELI.dP.AI'H—OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
Thames, this day. Much enthusiasm is displayed among local Volunteers regarding tho New Zealand Hide Association Meeting, and Thames will bo well represented. The following entries were received last night:—
Thames Naval Artillery. - Weir, Brownloe (2), Brownlow, Oartwright, Hare, Lukey, Cameron, Floyd, Johns, and Gill (tho present bolder of the Association's silver cup). Thames Rifle Rangers.— Lieut. Lucas, Vols. Clime, A. Newdick, J. Thomas, A. Thomas (Carbine Champion 1881), Patterson, G. W. Clark, Downio, McLean, Cloutt, Inglis, Gilpin, and Hawk. Tho Thames Rifles should bo moro formidable than in previous years, many of tho noted carbine marksmen who have figured at previous meetings being now connected with tho Rifle Rangers. It is probable that a few private members from Thames will also take part.
