Counsel for defendants submitted that tho owners wero out of tho jurisdiction of tlio Court, and that tho parties could bo divided. Tho Bench considered the objection fatal, nnd nonsuited tho plaintiff with costs. CIIRISKCHURCH, this day.—The weather continues fine, and tho harvest is in full swing. An oxcollcnt yield is oxpected. The following will represent Canterbury in tho return match with Tasmania :— 1 Barnes, Buchanan, Chapman, Dudney, ; Dunlop, Harman, Makias, Milton, i'ocock, Ross, and Wilding. Elizabeth Jano Keen, aged nine years, was killed whilo playing with railway trucks at the goods station on Tuesday night.
