Te Aroha, Saturday. The retorts for the Premier and New Find are now on tho fire. The result is expected shortly. Other mines will bo finished late this evening. Te Aroha, this day. Gold returns from New Find, 3200z5. ; Premier, 190ozs. ; Colonist, 1520z5. sdwts. ; Werahiko, 1580z5.; Waitoki, 36ozs.—total, 85Cozs. sdwts., being more than payable returns' in each case. Mr Gordon, Goldfield Engineer, was quite satisfied ; therewith, tho Now Find giving 2Jozs. and the Premier l|ozs. to the ton. The stamper-boxes have yet to bo cleaned, and part of tho blanketings treated, while the tailings of tho Premier stuff are regarded as representing a considerable addition to tho sum total whon an opportunity is offered of extracting tho gold tkorofrom. Adams, battory manager, considers the same to bo worth 20/.s. to tho ton. For the first fortnight tho battery was only driven at about fifty strokes to the minuto. Consequently there was not so much put through as will in future bo crushed por diem. •The result of Saturday's cloaning up is : New Find, 1120/.s. lOdwts.; Premier, SOozs. udwta, ; Colonist, 53ozs. ; Worahiko, 480/.s.
