London, September 13. Lord Derby's answer to the memorandum from the Agents-General on the subject of Pacific annexation is generally regarded as being unsatisfactory. It merely repeats the vague assurances formerly given.

A considerable number of Boers aro joining Cetewayo, and it i* expected the King will shortly take the field against the rebel Zulus. Berlin, September 12. The statement recently current here that Hon- Deßiaiielt^ formerly Imperial German Ambassador to China, would shortly return to Pekin, is now denied. Paris, September 12. Tho remains of the lato Admiral Pierre are to be interred at the public expense. London, September 12. Tho catalogue at to-day's wool sale comprised 13,200 bales. A good demand was experienced for tho various lots offered. New Yohk, September 12. The "Agricultural Bureau's" monthly report estimates the American wheat crop this year at 12 por cent, below last year's yield. Market Report. London, September 11.
