LONDON, January 3. A large Liberal meeting was hold this evening at Birmingham, when John Ungnc and Mr Chamberlain, two of the members for the borough, were presented with lengthy addresses. The former, in the course of his speech, alluded to England's foreign relations, and stated that even it the country was without allies there was no Power that had more ttwnia. A meeting of the landlords was held today in Dublin, to consider the working of the Irish Land Act, and the recent decisions of the Laud Courts on the cases brought before them. Fully four thousand landlords from various parts of the country were present, and resolutions were passed totting forth their willingness to loyally abide by the Land Act, but adding that if certain decisions which had been given by the Assistant-CcmmiHsioncrs were maintained, the landlords would demand compensation bam toe htate for tho losses occasioned by the reductions made by the Courts in finding the rental to be paid by the tenants, N.Z.
