To the Editor : Sir, —Is there no law to compel consignees of goods to pass cutries within a reasonable time of arrival of the ship ? Here the Loch Dec has arrived and I cannot obtain my cargo until other consignees have passed enlries. Surely this is very hard upon those who have agreed to dispose of theirgoods.—lam, &c,INQUIRER. [The ship can land and store the goods, and this course ought to be adopted when consignees neglect to take the very simple step necessary to facilitate a tepeedy discharge. -Ed.
