Destructive Fire at Christchurch.

(BY TELEQRAPH, OWN CORRESPONDENT.)

CHRIBTCHURCH, this day. The house occupied by Mr E. W. Millet was burnt down last night, during the absence of the occupants. The furniture was uninsured, but the building was insured for £100 in the National office. A grocery store and contents, the property of Mr Carson, were also destroyed, and a stack, which was uninsured. The building was insured for £300, in the Victoria Company, and the furniture for £100. The cash in the store was also destroyed.
