ARRIVAL OF THE ARAWATA.
The Union Company's s.p. Arawata arrived from Melbourno, via Gisborne, Kast Coast and Southern ports, shortly after noon to-day. She left Port Chalmers on the 3rd at 130 p.m., and arrived at Lytfelton on the 4th at Bam.; left twain same day at 6.20 p.m., and arrived at Wellington on the o'.hat 8.39 am.; left again same day at 3.30 p.m.. and arrived at Napier on the 6th at 9.3'J p.m ; left again same day at 6 p.m., and arrived at GiHborne on the 7th at daylight; left again same day at 9 a.m., and arrived at Auckland as above. Experienced light head ■winds and fine weather along the coast. The Bteamer brings 120 tons of cargo and the following piesengerß:—From Melbourne : Mr and Mrs Lane and family, Mr and Mrs Conlan and family, Mr C. Griffiths, Mr A. Lane, and Mr T. McFarlane. From Coast: Mr Fiizsimmons, Mrs Eden and child, Mrs Bruce and maid, Mr W. Holmes, Mr Maginity, Mrs cook, Mrs Hopkins, Mr Fisher. Mr Siore. Mr Freodman, Rev. D. Bruce, Mr Maunsell, Hon. J. Hall, Mr Adams, Mr and Mrs Mclntosh and child, Mian Co'e, Mr Berry' Mr Haylunst, Mi- Carri:k; and fifteen in the steerage.
