ASSESSMENT COURTS.
Mount Wellington District :—This court was held ou Saturday at the Klleralie Hotel, before Mr Barstow. There were also present Mr B. Ireland, chairman of the District Board, Mr W. Aitken and Mr K. iV. Ryburu valuers; aud Mr 11. J. Ellis clerk to the Board. The following businuss was transacted :—
Isaac Bailey, reduced from £19 to £10. Bernard McDmi aid, reduced by arrangement from £25 to £4, iv consequence in error of rating a hous; of which, he was not tho owner. Wm. R.iclie objected 'to his assessment, hut the cuse could not be heard, the objection being too lute. H. F, Anderaou claimed exemption as the house, he alleged, for whicli lie was rated belon^inc to Arthur B. Wright: of,
