TEMPTING PROVIDENCE.
(To tho Editor.)
Sir,—Would you for the sake of come of these men's families and wives call the attention of -Mr Dompsey or his foreman to the advisability of putting a party of men on to force'own all the 100.-c earth and rock from overhead at the reclamation works. "Bruiser" has seen many such works carried on in various places in Europe and America, but never has he seen Providence tempted so persistently as In this contract. " Bruiser " has always seen in similar works the face kept at a safe " batter," sometimes even the workmen being let down from aloft in a sling. Had a safe batter been kept, and al loose and shaky falls been fprced, no snch accident as what has happened poor Boyle could havo been possible.—l am, etc., Bruisbk.
