DOMAIN BOARD.

A meeting of the above Hoard was hold this morning at tan o'clock at their offices. Mr Mitford (chairman) and the Chairman of the Grafton Road and Newmarket Boards were also present. Letters were read from Mr Thome askiug for an extension of lease to sixty years. It was resolved that his request be not complied with. It was also resolved that the trustees be authorised to draw the sum of £100 from the Savings Bank to be placed at the credit of the Board at the Now Zealand Bank. The usual accounts were then ordered to be paid, and on the recommendation of the Board, rigorous and sev6re |measures will be adopted for the future in order to prevent the recurrence of wilful destruction of |property in the Domain, and instructions to that effect have been given to the rangers.
