CENTRAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.

At a meeting of this committee at noon to-day, Mr Boylan in the chair, several telegrams were received from Sir George Grey and other friends. The question of settiin« the caudidate to run for Mongonui and the Bay of Islands was postponed. It was decided that the dress circle of the Theatre Royal, at Sir George Grey's meeting on the 3rd, be reserved for ladies and ladies accompanied by gentlemen, on the understanding that gentlemen should give place if the accommodation be insufficient for the ladies. It was also decided that Captain McKenzie take the chair on the occasion, and that the platform be occupied by the Executive Committee, candidates in the Grey interest, and other candidates who have come forward in the Grey interest and retired. A sub-committee consisting of Captain McKenzie, Messrs Shera, G. Thompson, and Boylan was authorised to make any arrangements as to details. Mr Speight's public meeting was fixed for Tuesday evening at 7.30. in the Mechanics' Institute. A meeting of the General- Committee was convened for tomorrow evening, at S o'clock, in the anteroom of the Albert Hall, the time being changed to meet the general convenience.
