ENGLISH CHURCH MEETINGS.
S. Sepulchre's.—Tho S. Sepulchre's annual meeting was held last night ia the school-room adioinmgtbe church. The Rev B. T. Dudley in the chair. The annual report was read by Rev Mr HaEoldean, and the statement of accounts by Mr Harper, The receipts for the year were £779 2d, leaving a balance of £5 8s Bd. On the motion of Mr Harper, seconded by Mr Geoige. the report and balance-sho^t were adopted. Mr J. T. Adnuin was nominated minister's warden, and Mr C. Cooper people's warden. The following were elected on the vestry :—Mc.sra G. [Harper G. P. Pierce, H.N. Garland, J. Batger, li. White, A. Affright, S. Hill, H. _. Wiliiams, K. 13. Dickson, and C. S, George. Messrs H. Gilflllan and Bent wero elected auditors. The question which occupied some time in its discussion was tho site of the churcii, when the following resolu tion by Mr Rice wmh carried, viz.: "That the meeting approve of the recommendation of the vestry, and authorise them to procuro a site for a church, a school, and a parsonage, in McLaughlan's paddock .between Kyber t .iss and Mount i_ len RoaOs, between GiiflHan's and Nugonts, lot 2 section 5). Tho subjoined resolution was also carried:—"That a general canvass of the pa'ishioue'3 bo mad", aud when £2,<'00 has been received or promised, the vestry call f-r tendors for tho erection of tho church : that the tottil cost do nor. exceed £2,500 ; and that it be of sufficient Bizti to accommodate not less than 520 people." A vote of thanks to Ihe chairnman brought the proceedings to a cl< so.
P. Mark's, Ricmueka.—.. Mark's congregation held their annual church meeting last evening, Vcu. Archdeacon Pritt in the chair. After a few introductory remarks from the chairman, Mr Alexander read the statement of accounts for the past year. Church account, income from various resources, £450 19s 3d, leaving a cred't, balance of £10 Is 2.
Building Fund, £771 8s lOd ; including profits of bazaar, £185 17s, balance brought down £116 17s 9d.
Sunday School.—This school was fairly represented with a small balance to credit. On the motion of Mr Alexander, seconded by Mr Edwin Hesketh, the sum of £10 was voted to tao school funds.
Wardens.—Mr Tonks was nominated minister's warden, and Mr Alexander people's warden, and the following gentlemen wore elected to serve on the vestry:—Messrs Yonge, Baber, Westwood, S. Hesketh, Tait MorgaD, Secornbe, Pickmere, Cochrane, and James.—Mr L'iwis w„ elected auditor.
Special votes of thanks were given to the office bearers of tho past, to Mr S. Hesketh, the organist; tho choir, ladies and teachem. Itiwas also resolved, on the motion of Mr Alexander, to increase the minister's stiperd from £250 to £275, and to be increased to £300 at the end of the year if possible. The meeting sparated with a vote of thanks to the charman.
