CRICKET MATCH YESTERDAY.
The cricket match yesterday between the Taranaki team and fifteen young players of Auckland resulted in an easy victory for the former on the first innings. The scores were: Taranaki, Ist innings, 158. Colts, Ist innings, 70. The Tarauaki team proceeded to the Thames this afternoou, and will play tnere to-morrow. They return on Thursday and play Otahuhu in the Domain ground on Friday, and a combined team from the Epsom and Reniuera clubs on Saturday. There is some talk of a match with Waikato, but nothing definite has been decided upon.
