The Dorce passed the cammitteo ship at 7 p.m., baiting the Uria by 5 mius. FOUK-OARKD WIIALEBOAT RACE, for youtiis unler 18 years. First prize, £10 ; second, £3 Rangitoto 1 AvalaucLe 2 Open LYats Sailing Race; open to all comers. I'irst prize, £25 ; second, £5. There wen six entries for this event : Folly, Toy. The 1-ud siorta were competed for with great en. uusiism. Twenty-sixtrains with passengers arrived during the daj from Christchurch. Between 11,000 and 12,100 tickets were issued.
