Mrs Kerr presented the prizes to the several ■winners with some kind words and good advice to each, as follows:—For general profLciencpy, .F. C. A. Leggett, J. S rong, W. W. Clarke, E. %. Leggett, A. Honeyford, J. Jenniugs, and J. Brisoaue. For good conduct, B. Honeyford, Ji. Harkness, and K. Jenninßa. For general improvement and diligence. J. Oallagnan, J. Clarke, W. Jennings, M. Beehre, F. Mcleao, and W". Rowley. For writing, M. Conroy. if or good attendance, R. C. Kerr. An ample tea of calce3, buns, &c. wss atterwards provided for the scholars and visitors, and every one went liome much p'eased with the treat, which was the first of the kind Maketu had seen, and reflected great credit on the teacher (Mr Leggett), with whom it originated.
