The officers or tne seamen 01 tne wmon, urge the strikers to abstain from violence towards the 350 Chinese now on their y^ay to serve the Company; and state that unless they abstain they will resign. + An attempt was made to. shoot the captain aud engineer of the Company s steamer Wotonga.
