The prisoners all admitted the soft impeß-ch-ment, and were-lined 5s land-costs, each, with the alternative of 24 hours' imprisonment with hard labour. >;■..</ - ; ADKBBHTER. Frank Molloy waß charged with, ar breach of the Merchant Shipping Act by deserting from the British ship Dunelm, at Auckland, on the 20th August. ■-.- i . Prisoner pleaded guilty. He was willing to go back, and had nothing to Bay against the cautain. It was all through drink. ! Mr Sub-Inspector Pardy said the statement of the prisoner's was false. He had ,been discovered on board a vessel about to sail tor Newcastle, and intended to leave with that vessel.Q Captain A. Roberts said he was willing to take the man back when he was going to. sail. The Dunelm would leave for Leyuka next Saturday morning. " - ' . Their Worships committed the prisoner to gaol until Saturday. ' . • j ■ LUNACY. L* T -: Edward Jolly was charged with being of unsound mind, and on medical testimony of' Drs. Lee and Kenderdine, was committed to the Whan Asylum. This concluded the business. *
