BOARD OF EDUCATION.
A meeting of the Board of Education was held this afternoon, and was proceeding as we went to press. Present: Messrs. Lusk (chair), Luckie, Prime, O'Rorke, May, and Dr. Campbell, The cuief business was the consideration of a number of applications from local committees, &c. HAMILTON WEST. An application was received from the teacher of this district for house reut, which was allowed to the teacher at Hamilton East. It was stated that there were no teachers' residences in the district. Application granted. HELEN SVTI/LE. The appointment of Mr3 Fosbrook as sewing mistress was confirmed. KAUWERAN'GA. An application was received from the Keuweranga School Committee for a bell for the district school. The application was granted. (Left sitting).
