BUTCHERS' MEETING.
(To the Editor.) g IR> —I w ish you would correct an error into which yow have fallen with regard to the part I took at the butchers' meeting. I deny in toto that I supported any of the resolutions of the meeting re the Newmarket slaughterhouse. As a proof, I have had all my cattle, &c, killed at the City Council's new abbatoirs, Western Springs, ever since it has been opened, as I consider it far superior in accommodation and cleanliness to any other slaughterhouse in the vicinity of Auckland. By inserting the above, you will oblige—yours &c, Jno. Maxwell.
