To-Night's Meeting.
It is scarcely necessary to remind ouir readers of the meeting announced to take place this evening at the Mechanic's Institute. Halfpast seven is the time, and at that hour we shall expect to see the citizens present in force to give their opinion on the present political crisis. No one in Auckland can fail to see that the future of this province hangs at present, in the balance, and that the scale isjgthreatening to turn against us. Every straw must be thrown in to give weight to Sir George Grey and his resolutions. Our Auckland members, even if defeated in the present contest, will feel inspirited by the fact being communicated to them, that we in Auckland, are in perfect accord with their exertions. We trust that the meeting will be a large one, and that the opinions expressed will be unanimous. We have little doubt; of their tenor.
