TAURANGA.
(From our own Correspondent.) This day. A^meeting was held last evening at seven o'clock to elect a member of the Town Board to supply the vacancy. Mr Tunks was returned by a large majority, Another meeting was held at nine which was the hour named in the first advertisement, and Mr Rhodes was elected unanimously, making a curious complication. The Kaimai Goldfield. The Kaimai goldfield Commissioner, Brabant, despatched Mr Hopkins Clark last evening for the chief Hori Tupaea, who arrived here this morning. An interview will take place to-day.
