PRINCE OF WALES TAEATRE.
The theatre was well filled last night on the occasloi of Mr Sam Poole's benefit, and the piecss P;rform« by the coronany gave every satisfaction. Mr Pool as •' Toby TwiiJkle " in "All is not Gold that flitters kept thtt house in roars of laughter by his exoellen low comedy acting. Misß Carry George as Marth; Gibbs, well maiotalned her reputation, displaying, n her acting, all her usual ability and resouree._MrK W. Lawrence took the character of Stephen Plum Ji a very accomplished manner. Mr and Mrs Scan appeared to advantage in their several rOles. l~ Jolly Young Waterman " finished up a capital even me's entertainment. In this Mr Poole appewed a Robin, and acquitted himself well. Miss Jeunie lir as Iran Tag "made up" splendidly, and acted .tn_ character to aT. Miss Patty Holt appeared a* wn helmina. and displayed her well known lively style o acting to great advantage. On Monday Mr C. sea™ takes a benefit. *s this gentleman is weU known not only in Auckland but throughout the colonlM,a an ardent and persevering, as well as talented follows of his profession, we feel sure the pubuc win gw him a crowded house on the occasion.
