(From our own Correspondent.) This day.
Scarcity of Pood. Thirty horse loads of tamia food from Ohinemutu is going by the Rowena, a present for the Ohiwa natives. hood IS scarce and natives are mortgaging their crops very heavily. A great deal of native labor is employed shearing and haymaking. , Prospecting. The prospectors started this morning on Te Puka's property. The native guides are Tarawera and Kotai. A rightful owner of Kaimea gives notice in the Times not to trespass.
