NEW THEATRE FOR AUCKLAND.
We learn that Messrs. Barnett and Levy intend building on their lot at the corner of Victoria-street and Queen-street, a brick block, 96ft deep by 62ft frontage in Queenstreet, with an entrance in Queen-street and in Victoria-street. There will be four handsome shops in Victoria-street, and three in Queen-btreet. In the ctntre will be a large public hall dr theatre capable of holding from 1500 to 1600 people. _Mr Mahoney, the aicnitect, has received instructions to prepare the plans and specifications.
