This day. The Immigration buildings from Auckland are being erected on the old parade ground. Opotiki is beginning to show signs of life and prosperity. Vessels laden with produce are constantly leaving. Recently cattle have been sent to the Auckland, market. Snodgrass and Langford are purchasing extensively. The Southern Crosa arrived yesterday kdentwith valuable horses.

The s.s. Southern Cross left at ten o'clock last night. Passengers—Mrs Young and family, Miss Lodge, Miss Clarke ; Messrs Eobertson, Scott, Simpkins, Campbell, Clark, Macpherson, Fisher, and Connelly.
