MINING- INVESTMENT COMPANIES.
To the Kditor o. the Stab.
Sin, —It is not fair to the " Mutual Mining Investment Company" that a new society intending to* start is making use of it for the purpose of commending the new venture to public notice. As regards the " Mutual Mining Investment Company," it is too soon to speaks of its "success." Investments have bten made in the ordinary way with the funds in hand, but the share list is not yet filled up, although nearly so. The starting of the new company at the present appears j injudicious, but making use of the name of another company in this manner is an unwarrantable liberty. I may mention that the j " Mutual Mining Investment Company" has! no connection whatever with the " Caledonian Investment," or any other venture.— I am, &c., Biohaed Williams, -.;»*/ Manager M. M. I.
