The annual public meeting iv connection with the Auckland Wesleyan Sunday-schools will be held this evening, at 7 o'clock, at the Pitt-street Schoolroom. Several ministers and other friends will deliver addresses on the occasion. A collection will be made in aid of the schools.

It will be seen by our advertising columns that the extensive sale of the entire household fnrniture, horses, ponies, &c, of George Clarkson, Esq., are to be sold at Remuera this day and to-morrow, by Messrs. Samuel Cochrane and Son. They are of a very superior class, little used, and for positive sale.

The sitting of the Native Lands Court was continued yesterday, before Judges Manning and Munro and two native assessors, when the Te Aroha case was proceeded with. Three more witnesses of the Ngatimaru tribe were examined, their evidence being of the usual character. There are only some three or four more witnesses on this side to be examined, and to-day will probably see the case of the claimants brought to a close. The counterclaimants (the Ngutihaua) will then have their turn, and as they will produce as many witnesses as the claimants have done, we may expect to hear some very different accounts of battles, sieges, &c., to those already given by the Ngatimaru.
