[Before G. P. Pierce, Esq., J .P.] Drunkenness. —John Roach was fined ss. and costs, or to be imprisoned 24 hours with hard labour. , Assault. —Michael Burke was charged with having committed a violent assault with an iron bar on R. Martin, a seaman on board H.M.S. Clio, last night. A second Magistrate being required to try the case, and the seaman being unwilling to wait, desired to withdraw the charge, which was accordingly dismissed-
