The same journal remarks :—News from the Wairau Goldfields continues very promising,
and during the week teport9 have reached us of various small finds. The number of persons on '.-is field keeps increasing. On Monday we heard of a nugget being found by Mr. O. Smart, weighing 24£ dwts. of pure gold ; and on Wednesday a man named Dorren, better known, as Marshall, of Havelock, is re ported to have found another weighing 27 dwts.j which was shown our informant.
