The Colonist of the 7th instant says : — " Shortly after 2 o'clock this morning a cry of 'fire' was heard, succeeded ih'a'few minutes by the sound of the fire-bells. ' The burning premises were iound to be those of Mr. Charles Wiesenbayern, wine and spirit merchant, Trafalgar-street. A crowd speedily collected, the Fire Brigade, with their apparatus, were shortly on the ground, and, with a couple of hoses playing on the burning building, the fire was quickly extinguished,-without spreading to any of the neighbouring buildings."
