Their spacious gardens were looking exceedingly well, as so many of their large collection of flowering shrubs werei at their best and beds of tulips, ranunculus, Iceland poppies,, anemones etc made bright patches of colour everywhere. Mrs Clarence Waghorn was the keenest eyed hunter for a treasure hidden "witihin reach of the paths." Later there were several competitions while the guests were seated on th lawn, the one for guessing the' names of tunes played on an accordeon being won by Mrs R. E. Waghorn. The culinary feeling competition revealed that the senior members have still something to learn as two junior members tied for this prize, Mrs W. Craw Jr. and Miss Gwen Waghorn.

At the very sumptuous afternoon tea besides the Birthday Cake that the Women's Division had given her per previously, Mrs Craw cut another beautifully decorated cake .given her by her family, Mr and Mrs Victor Craw, Mr and Mrs Oscar Waghorn and Mrs and Mrs Clyde Waghorn; these with their families were all present and did all the work of entertaining for Mrs Craw. .
