BANKS PENINSULA CAGE BIRD CLUB

SECOND ANNUAL MEETING

The second annual meeting of the Banks Peninsula Cage Bird club was held in the Little River Library reiently. There was a good attendance, four members of the society of cage birds from Christchurch were present. An apology was received from Mr Reg Mason.

Mr P. D. Gibson moved and Mr L. Giddens seconded that the club carries on for a further 12 months. Carired. The election of officers resulted as follows : — Patron—Mr t. R. E. Davis. Sub-Patrons—Mr H. S. S. Kyle, M.P., Mr S. Barclay and Mr A. Dawber. President—Mr J. A. Hanley. Vice-presidents—Mr L. Blood, Mr C. Cradock, Mr P. Cairns, Mr D. G. Overend, Mr S. A. Le Comte, Mr G. Bell, Mrs P. Cairns, Mr D. Richards, Mr P. D. Gibson, Mr A. Walker and |Mr R. Mason.

Secretary-

Mr A. D. Adams,

Committee —Mrs J. Johnson. Mr A, Sutherland, Mrs A. Radford, Mr L, Giddens, Mrs J. A. Hanley and Mr C. Barclay.

Mr J. A. Hanley moved and Mr S. A. Le Comte seconded that Mr C. Hill Christchurch, be made a life member.

Carried

Mr W. Aitken was appointed Hon Auditor.

Moved by Mr P. D. Gibson, seconded by Mr S. A. Le Comte that poultry be exhibited at our winter show next year, the show to be an open one. Carried.

It was dccided that a show be held on November 25.

It was resolved that country class winners compete against town class winners for town trophies.

An Honorarium of £3 3s was passed for the secretary.

Mr S. A. Le Comte moved as an amendment that a competition be run for the secretary instead of £3 3s, the amendment lansing for want of a seconder.

Mr Wells, C'uristchurch, was appointed judge for the November show.
