Mr and Mrs P. Shadbolt (Fernch Farm) are visiting their daughter, Mrs A. Harris, Kinloch, Little River.
Mrs W. H. Montgomery (Wairewa, Little River) who has been spending several weeks in Java and East Indies, also visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs A. J. Ramondt Macassa, is expected to arrive at Wellington on October 28.
Yesterday afternoon, Mrs A. V. Le Lievre, entertained a number of friends to tea in honour of the coining of-age of her second daughter, Joyce. A feature of the table was a beautifully iced cake, the gift of the Mayoress, Mrs F. L»avis. The time was passed pleasantly in social intercourse, Miss J. Le Lievre. being the incipient of many handsome gifts. Those present were Mesdames A. V. Le Lievre, W. Everett, Misses Joyce and Melva Le Lievre, Mesdames W. Thompson, W. Ramsay, W. E. Swainson, A. E. Kington, F., A. and Rex Davis, A. M. Helps, J! Giddens, N. Cree and Mrs Smith, Misses Swain[son and Maisie Kingston.
