AKAROA SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS

EDUCATION MINISTER'S VISIT , Yesterday, Mr F. G. Armstrong, chairman of the Akaroa District High j school committee met the Hon. Mr P. Fraser, Minister of Education at Okains Bay requesting him to visit Akaroa in connection with school matters. The Minister, who had to go on to Lincoln and Lyndhurst, was unable to visit Akaroa yesterday, but promised he would do so definitely at the first opportunity. The request was made to the Minister in connection with the school committee's proposals to consolidate all school buildings around the secondary grounds. A site has also shortly to be found for a school dental clinic building for Banks Peninsula | and it is suggested also this building I should go on the school ground. I
