CAR OVER SEA WALL

NOSE DIVES ON TO AKAROA BEACH A six cylinder Chrysler car, owned by Mr J. P. C. Harvey of-Christ-church nose dived on to the beach in front of the Main*''gate of.the Akaroa Domain at about 4 p.m. on Monday and surprised those sitting on the waterfront and bathing on the beach in that vicinity. It remained with its head in the gravel and the body resting against the ten foot wall. The owner of the car parked it at the Domain gate and the brakes were released inadvertently. An attmpt by the owner to apply them when the car was in motion was unsuccessful The car was salvaged by Mr J. D. Smith of Akaroa and was driven back to Christchurch on Monday night.
