CAR ACCIDENT ON SUMMIT ROAD

CAR RUNS OFF ROAD INTO LITTLE AKALOA GULLY Three Occupants Receive Bruises and Abrasions A four door sedan car driven by Mr S. Morris of 677 Gloucester St., Christchureh, ran off the Akaroa Summit road about half a mile beyond the Little Akaloa turnoff at 2 p.m. yesterday. It was proceeding to Okains Bay and in passing a lorry coming in the opposite direction the driver took the corner too wide and the car ran off the road and down a steep gully twards Little Akaloa for a distance of about 200 feet. There was no collision with the lorry. Mr Morris was accompanied by his wife and eleven-year-old son and all suffered severe bruises and abraisions, being thrown out of the car before it reached the bottom of the gully. Dr. W. J. Edginton and Constable C. Dalbeth of Akaroa went to the scene of the accident and the ambulance conveyed the occupants of the car to Christchurch. Mr and Mts
