AMUSEMENTS.

"The Cohens and' Keliys in Atlantic City" A Riotous Addition to Popular Series hovers of a riotous comedy farce based on air excellent romance will get a .break this week at the Akaroa Theatre where "The -Cohens and Keliys in Atlantic 'City" opens on Saturday. As funny as were Universal's previous Cohen-Kelly pictures they suffer in comparison to this latest joy-epic from Car! Laemrnle's studios We have not had such, a thoroughgoing corr.edy for some time and everyone seemed to take' advantage of this fact by indulging in one continued laugh-rest. There are many big sequences such as that of the beauty parade and the return of Cohen and Kelly to their modernized l bathing suit establishment. The pictu-rc was actually filmed in its locale of Atlantic City,' with real bathing beauty parades and every thing which- increases the- interest immensely. An unusually noted cast takes part. George Sidney, in the starring role of Cohen, gives one of his funniest portrayals. iSidney is a fine actor in any role, but he is unquestionably at his best as Cohen. He played the same role in the earlier Cchen-Kelly versions and knowing it so well- is able to get every possible bit out of it. Veia Goulon, in- the role of M-vs Cohen, is as always, an excellent farce comedienne. Mack S'wain and Kate -Price as the Irish contingent bf'-tue the Ccliens to a tie for comedy honours. WMlianr Craft directed with" coir-ncndable deftness. "The Cohens and Keliys in Atlantic City" is the story of a pair of big bathing suit men whose, angle on bcaeh wear is as old-fashioned as long dresses. The business is going to the degs when a snappy son and an equally modern daughter get rid of their parents long enough to bring the styles right un to the present and even a little bit higher, thus saving the business.
