FOOTBALL.
TOUR OF COUNTRY TE'AM. The Canter-bury Country team eluded its tour at the week end. On Saturday the team played Marlborough and were beaten 21 to 15. During its tour the team played four matches, winning two and losing two. The' team beat Kaikoura 36 to 9 and Golden Bay-Motueka. 22 to 13. Nelson defeated the team 21 to 15 and on Saturday Marlborough also beat them 21 to. 16. A GORIRiECHIOIN. In our last issue it was stated that the team had won the Sedd'on Shield by defeating Golden 1 BayMotueka. This is incorrect as the match l was not for this shield. The Golden BaynMotueka are the holders of the shield. AN EN'JOYA'BiLE TOUR. The Peninsula men taking part in the tour speak very highly of the hospitality extended to them through out the tour. Entertainments were arranged for them- everywhere and they all had a rrost enjoyable time, being treated most hospi'talbly on all sides.
