i Tho Little River football ground v was in good playing , order on SaturL day there being only a fine warm - drizzle during the afternoon. The Little River team had the best of 1 the game throughout. The Kotitat hnnga team had four players absent 2 Haines, Hartley, Mason and Williams while Newton, Dent and Ussher were t absent from the Little River team. , - Tries were, scored by the Little - River team as follows: —A. Lang (3),' C, Londrigan (2). S. Birdling (2), R.I - Pearce (2), Leon Londrigan (1). A. 1 i Watson (1), W. Colombus (1), A. C.' . Ferguson (1), F. Frame converted' - one try. Mr Schmidt acted as' ■ referee. . AKAROA (U) v. OLD TIMERS (3) ' t The Akaroa team played the old . timers on the Recreation Ground on Saturday and as there was a light . drizzling rain the ground was in a greasy condition. In the first spell i. both teams scored a try and the j game if anything was in favour of; 3 the • Old Timers. The second spell t however proved the stumbling block ; and the present players form soon J f outshone the Old Timers' lasting J power though considering all things ? the present players were well held. 1 The game concluded: present team .
