DOMAIN BOARD.
A meeting of the Domain Board was then held, tie same Councillors heing present. The minntes of the prior meeting were read and confirmed. The Mayor said he considered theDomei.i one of the chief acquisitions of the Borough, and, he thought, as it was the right time to plant ferns some steps should be taken to plant ferns round the fountain, and I•«■* moved—That the Domain Board authoris s the Committee to provide and plant fern* round the fountain. S'coi -ded by Cr Munro. Afer f-ome discussion the motion was carried, Cr Newton drew attention to the old well, near the fountain. He considered it very dangerous and thought steps should ba taken to fill it in No determiuation was arrived at re tie filling of th a well and the Board adjonrned.
