On Batorday Messrs Matson and Co. sold the property of Mrs Isles, nee Longey, situated next to Mr Nutt's Hotel, Little River. It brought £831, or no less than £41 10s per acre, Mr Nutt being the chaser. f The missing m\n has been found. It was decomposed, i nd bore marks of having been attacked by fish. It was identified by* the clothts, and also by tbe fact tbat a sugar mat was fastened to it. Mr Bitchelor was, it is stated, seen in the Lyttelton Domain last Friday week, carrying a sugar mat as ) swag £he floods have been bid. The water if over the bottom of the Graud Stand on tb| cour-e, and Buchamn's Read is in a btate. The road between Little River aojHP Birdling's Fiat is impassable owing to floo(jjf and slips, the water baiog up to the o|s boat he use. Mr Wilkin, is in Christchurch, and our correspondent telephoned ns yeitejf' day that skiffa were being brought frow* Christchurch to enable the Council's hands to reach the mouth of Lake Fcrsyth to stftrt it runnirg out.
