DUNEDIN WOOL SALES.
A wool pale was held on Thursday, when abouh 19,300 bales were offered. There was a large attendance of buyers, both looal and foreign. Fine half bred and merino woo'e suitable for the looal woollen milU were in strong demand, the local mills being aotive competitors. Strong lustrous Lincoln and* Leioester woels were also in improved demand, and all these sorts made a good im* nrovement on last year's prices. Coarse low grade halfbred wools showed to the worst advantage, and were difficult to quit at comparatively low values. The rrtnsre of prices was :—Greasy merino 6|d to 10} d, half bred fleece 5Jd to 9sd, crossbred Aid to 7|d. Compared with last season's prices all sorts, low half bred wools exoepted, have established an advance cf from Id to l£d per lb.
