Commenting l on Musgrove's cabled interview the Herald bnggests tbat the difficulty, so far as fhe New Zealand tour is concerned, coald easily be got over by re-arranging the dates for tbe intercoloninl fixtures, playing the first match in Melbourne on Boxing Day instead of in Adelaideon December 17 asat present arranged. Tte Adelaide match could be refixnd for New Year's Day, and thus give the team more time. The feeling in cricket circles, though opposed to rebellion against the Cricket Council, favours the changes. It is considered that if the dates were altered, and the New Zealand Association then applied to the Council for a visit from th_ team, there would be very little likelihood of the request being refused.
