FOOTBALL ENTERTAINMENT.
In spite of tbe bad weather it was resolved to proceed with this entertainment, as there was a fair attendance, and a very pleasant evening was spent by those who had braved the rain. Io the first part Miss Hagh played the overture, Mesdames Harrison and A. Lelievre and Miss Vangioni sang, a gentleman from town gave a couple of new melodies and also whistle! very nicely, aud Dr. Laing gave a very amusing recitation, and Miss Nicholls a capital violin solo. Mrs Laing, Misss Haha and Mr L. Vangioni accompanied. The second part was devoted to the eccentricities of the Kentucky Minstrels. Mr Tripe was Mr Johnson, Mr W. J, White Bones, and Mr Helbert Tambo. Capital songs were given by these three, and also by Messrs T. Penlington, G. Collins, C. Schubert, L. J. Vangioni, J. Barwick J Rae «nd G. Armstrong. There was a capital selection ot local and other jokes. An amusing farce entitled " The Disobedient Servant" a capital . evening's amusement to a close. Mr L. J. Vangioni acted as pianist for the troupe, and Mrs Riches coached the t troupe ably in the part songs and choruses. There was the nsual dance afterwards, j
