PENINSULA FOOTBALL
A moMing of the delegates from the various Peninsula football clubs was held at rbtt Somerset Motel last Friday evening. There were, present six delegates. Meßkm R. Mclntrsb (Okain's Bay), Webster and Craw (L'tie Akalo ) W. Woodi'l (Wai~ r«,i). Bamford and Vangioni (Akaroa) Mr Mcintosh was in the chair.
0 1 tbe motion cf the Chairm'in seconded by Mr Cr.nv, Mr Vangioni was elected Hon. Secretary. It was resolved that two delegates from eadh drib met t to arrange matches, etc., inr-t>ad of forming an As*ccistion. Resolved that each club subscribe one guinea f) ward .4 cup and other expenses, tbat five guinea* be kf-pt back to buy tbe eur>. and tbat tbe cup matches <-trrt on June 20:1).
Tha first fiv* rounds of cup matches were then arranged as follows ; —
Juno 20ih —W-drevin v Akaroa at Akaroa ; Lo Bon's v Okain'n ar Okain's ; Litt'e Akaloa .1 hye. June 27ih — Okain's v W'lirawn fit Wairewa ; Akaroa v Little Akaloa it L ; t la Akaloa ; L°> Bon's a bye. .Inly 4th—Wairewa v Le Bon's ft Akaroa ; Little Aka'oa v Okain's at Ok"io'e ; Akaroa •t bye. July Hth -Akaroa vLe Bon's at Le Bon's ; Vvairewa v Little Aka'oa at Little Akaloa; Okain's a bye. July 18di —Okain's v Akaroa at Aknroa ; Liitle Akaloa vLe Bon's at Le Bon's; Wairewa a bye. It was resolved to g< t referee from Union for matches, snd that playing teams pay half the expanses ; also that matches commfince nt 2 30 p.m. wi»b the exception of matches played between Le Bon's, Okain's and Little A'*sS*"a» Clubs, which may commence at 2 lsvfa. if both teams agree. It was also resolved that either ciptiin wire for postpontnent of match in case of very bad weather.

There will be a meeting of delegates of the various Peninsula clubs at the Somerset Hotel. Teams will be picked by the Captain and Vice-Captain on Thursday, and the team lo play against Wairewa will be, picked from the following in form shown : —Buchanan, Vangioni, Tripe J. Ileming way, Barafnrd, Mora (2), Newbigan, Narbey, Ricbfi&ld, Mitchell. Curry, Kearney. Wright, Goodwin, Glynan, lielbeit and Stnples, Wight. Members not included in above list will stand an equal chanco with those whoce names are published.
On Saturday a t?sm from tho Akaroa Borough School tried conclusions with German B?y School on tbe Recreation Ground, and proved victrrs by 8 points lo 6 after a very interesting garao. L.
Penrose and A. Brookes scored for Akaroa, and Phillips being entrusted with the kicks increased the fir t Fcore. J. Mora made soma g-ood runw, and succeeded in scoring two tries for German B*y hut b-jng at awkward angles t'io kicks wo r e fai'ure*. For Akaroa W. and C Schubert, A Brookes. J Phillips nnd E. Sap'ea played well, and H. Brown A. M Imancbe. V. Le'ievre and J: More, showed prominent'y for German B •}'.
