The monthly meeting of the | Alexandra Womens' Institute was held in the Anglican Hall on Thursday February 6th. Mrs Skerte presiding. andra” was well responded to. The president extended a welcome to all visitors. Mrs McLennan was chosen as delegate to attend the Annual Meeting . of the Mid-Otago Federation, to be held in April. Mrs Skene called for nominations for President of Committees for the incoming year. The competition, Miniature garden on dinner plates, resulted as follows: Mrs Nicolson Ist, Mrs Pryor 2nd and Mrs McPhail 3rd. s , During the social half-hour, Mrs r Nicolson entertained with vocal i solos and Mrs Cheyne piano solos. > A guessing competition was won by ■ Mrs Aimers. Mrs . Stevenson was hostess for the evening.
