At Cromwell last Saturday, Excelsior B defeated the home team by a narrow margin. Of the Cromwell batsmen, Partridge and Lynn were the only ones to make a stand against the Excelsior bowling. Mount in particular with 4 for 22 being very. effective. With 90 to make, Lynch and Fenwick, the opening batsmen began to score verv freely, but with Lynch's dismissal at 19, wickets began to fall verv cheaply, and it was only a, good solid innings by Mount that "saved the day for Excelsior.
