CHATTO CREEK
A very successful Welcome Home social was tendered to Tpr. G. D. Craw in the Chatto Creek School on the Bth inst. Mr R.Gartly, on behalf of the residents extended a hearty welcome to Tpr Craw and Wished him the best for the future, presenting him with an envelope of notes. Tpr. Craw suitably and briefly replied. Mrs A. Drake supplied the music and Mr K. Jones made an efficient M.C.
A Welcome Home Social was tendered to Driver W. Seymour and L/C B. Clouston in the Chatto Creek School on Friday evening, 15th inst. Mr J. Love (Chairman of the Chatto Creek Patriotic Committee) in extending a hearty welcome to the two returned soldiers, thanked them and hoped they would soon be back to civilian life fit and well, and handed both men a well filled envelope of notes. Both feelingly replied. Mrs A.Drake (piano) supplied excellent music ably assisted by Mr F.Kear. Mr J. Corrigal ably carried out the duties of M.C.
