CORRESPONDENCE

[We do not hold ourselves responsible for opinions expressed by our correspondents.] SUNDAY TENNIS. To the Editor. Sir. —Now that practically every leading Tennis Club throughout New Zealand has agreed to permit the playing of tennis on Sundays, do you not think it would bo a wise and popular move were our local Club to follow * the broad-minded view that has been taken by other clubs? Of course, no objection would be raised to the restricting of the hours to exclude those occupied by the various Churches for their services. For example: allow play up to 9 a.m. and from 12.30 p.m. until 5.30 p.m. Sunday swimming, skating and golf are allowed; so why not tennis ? No harm would result if this suggestion were accepted and acted on.—l am, etc., CHURCHGOER.
